ANDREA EGGLETON  President/CEO, Lead Forester

I am a Registered Professional Forester in CA and West Virginia, an SAF Certified Forester, and a graduate of UC Berkeley with Master and BS of Forestry degrees. I have extensive project experience in timber sale preparation and administration, fuels and vegetation management, Right-of-Way vegetation surveys and specialized tree removal consultation, EIS/EIR technical support and preparation, long-term timberland management planning, cost-share grant application and project management, and carbon offset project inventories and verification (Accredited Lead Offset Verifier and US Forest Project Specialist).

My deep understanding and broad experience with both technical and regulatory aspects of forest resource management on private and public lands uniquely suit me to plan, permit, and implement complex projects within forested landscapes. I am a proud member of the Association of Consulting Foresters, California Licensed Foresters Association, and Vice President of the Practicing Foresters Institute. I live my passion for active management of California’s forests and natural resources for their conservation, health, and future.

JR CHRISTIAN EGGLETON  Vice President/CFO, Sr. GIS Analyst

I am a CA Registered Professional Forester and an ISA Certified Arborist and graduate of UC Berkeley with Master of City and Regional Planning and BA of Environmental Economics and Policy degrees.  I am a Lead Verifier and US Forest Project Specialist accredited by the CA Air Resources Board (CARB) and have extensive experience in forest carbon verification including the CARB Compliance Offset, Climate Action Reserve, and American Climate Registry programs among others, and lead our company’s forest carbon verification sector.  I also specialize in geographic information science (GIS), forest inventory, and forest modeling.  Additionally, I have 10 years of experience in forest management in accordance with the CA Forest Practice Rules, including writing and administering timber harvesting plans, nonindustrial timber management plans, exemptions, and state-funded cost share programs.​

​Andrea and Christian both grew up in Southern California and met on the UC Berkeley Logging Sports team in 2009.  Since then, they have shared their enthusiasm for the outdoors in their work and recreation.  Andrea and Christian have called Nevada County home since 2010 and are actively engaged in the community through their involvement the local meeting group for the California Licensed Foresters Association and the Rotary Club of Grass Valley. Besides spending time with their dog Kate, family, and friends, you may find them skiing, camping, gardening, or hunting birds in the Valley.

TIMOTHY FACEMIRE  Forest Analyst

I am a graduate of Oregon State University with a Masters of Forestry in Silviculture, Fire, and Forest Health with partnership in the Peace Corps Masters International (PCMI) Program, and a BS in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. My work experience with FRST includes carbon offset project development and verification, completing forest inventories, forest modeling and analysis, grant application technical writing, and fire and fuels modeling. In graduate school, I was a Teaching Assistant for a graduate-level wildland fire modeling course and an undergraduate photogrammetry and remote sensing course at Oregon State University. In technical forestry, I have experience as a wildland firefighter and sawyer, herbicide technician, and as a member of a tree planting crew. In international forestry, I served in the US Peace Corps in Guinea, West Africa as an agroforestry specialist where I earned my degree through a community-owned intensive field agroforestry project. My professional background also includes auditing and risk evaluation of fire and fuels within nuclear power plants, particularly in relation to NFPA codes and standards.​

​I am a proud member of the Society of American Foresters (SAF) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Outside of the work environment you can find me trail running, mountain biking, cooking, or playing board games with friends and family.

KATHERINE BENEDICT  Forester

I am a California Registered Professional Forester. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a BS in Forestry. My work at FRST includes writing and implementing timberland management documents, cost share applications, related permits and exemptions, and other environmental compliance documentation; as well as leading and managing field work, preparing timber sales and reforestation projects, implementing fuels reduction and fuel break projects, and administering contracts throughout all aspects of field operations.

 

I am a lover of the natural world and am passionate about working in and for the forest. I work to increase my knowledge of forestry, land management, and ecology, in order to create stronger, more resilient ecosystems. Outside of work, I love backpacking above treeline, fly fishing, mushroom hunting, and jumping in cold water!

NOAM â€‹â€‹KNOPF-BOYER  Forester

Greetings! I'm Noam, a UC Berkeley graduate with a BS in Forestry and Natural Resource Management. I'm also a Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) ISA Certified Arborist with extensive experience in Right-of-Way vegetation surveys and project management. My work at FRST includes assisting Foresters with implementing and laying out Timber Harvest Plans. I believe that the science of Forestry provides the tools that will allow us to better balance our path in the forest ecosystems in which we live. I'm proud to apply these principles within my work and community.

 

When I'm not working in the great outdoors, you can usually find me playing in the great outdoors. I enjoy camping, hiking, and getting up to my elbows in good dirt trying to get something to grow with my wife and three kids.

Andrew Russo  Forest Inventory Specialist

Andrew graduated from Oregon State University (OSU) where he achieved a Masters of Forestry in Sustainable Forest Management with a concentration in Silviculture, Fire and Forest Health and performed original research on the spread of Swiss Needle Cast in the Oregon Coast Range.  Before that he acquired a bachelor’s degree in biology from Carleton College. After graduating from OSU, he worked in previous positions as an Inventory Forester for a large industrial timber company and Utility Forester.

Thomas Christopher  Forest Carbon Analyst

​Thomas has been a Forest Analyst with FRST since January 2023. He has a BS Forestry from Ohio State University.  Prior to joining FRST Corp, Thomas had extensive experience as a forester for the Florida Forest Service including field monitoring of forest tracts, roads, logging sites, and related areas, advising and planning upgrades, reporting damages, and working with others for area maintenance, rehabilitation, or restoration, participating in FFS information/education programs, timber sale contract management, including timber marking, contract writing, and field monitoring, timber inventory including planning, mapping, and field data collection, among other forestry-related activities.  He also has experience in forest pest surveying and invasive plant management.  Thomas is currently also pursuing a Master’s degree in GIS from NW Missouri State University.

LISA THOMPSON  Office Manager

I am the Office Manager here at FRST.  I also serve as Executive Assistant to the CEO & CFO.  Having lived in mountain communities for the past couple decades, I appreciate the work FRST performs to facilitate the proper management of our forests and I feel privileged to play a supporting role here.
 

I also enjoy camping, hiking, decorating, gardening and visiting with my friends and loved ones.
